The Search for Wholeness
A Day with Ilia Delio, OSF

Hosted by New Awakenings

Saturday, October 28, 2017

Theology has been linked to cosmology for centuries with the core principles of Christian doctrine based on a particular historical cosmology.  Modern science, especially evolution and quantum physics, has ushered in a new cosmology.  Our challenge today is to find coherence between our religious beliefs and the new cosmology.  Ilia Delio will explore the meaning of Jesus Christ in an evolutionary universe and the significance of Christ in evolution for the future direction of Christian life.

Presenter:  Ilia Delio, OSF holds the Josephine C. Connelly Endowed Chair in Theology at Villanova University and has authored or co-authored seventeen books.  Her most recent book is Making All Things New:  Catholicity, Cosmology, and Consciousness (Orbis, 2015).  She lectures nationally and internationally in areas of science, religion and culture with a particular focus on evolution and Christianity.
