Fr. Thomas Nairn, O.F.M. will lead us in Franciscan Fr. Tom is the Minister Provincial of the Sacred Heart Province of Franciscans. Prior to his election, he was the Senior Director for Theology and Ethics at the Catholic Health Association of the United States. He holds a Ph.D. from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. He has authored four books on ethics, including a book on the Franciscan moral vision. In 2014, he was appointed by the Vatican’s Council for the Laity to be the Ecclesiastical Assistant to the International Catholic Committee for Nurses and Medical Workers, a position he still holds.
Sr. Connie Schoen, O.P. will lead us in Dominican Spirituality Sr. Connie is a member of Dominican Sisters of Peace. She is the Program Director of the national office of the Religious Formation Conference and lives in Chicago, IL. Connie’s area of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels was Special Education. She also holds a JD as well as certification in spiritual direction and an MA in Pastoral Studies. She has a wealth of experience in contemplative dialogue and restorative justice. For thirty (30) years as a vowed member of the Order of Preachers founded by St Dominic in 1216, Connie has lived her passion for the study of scripture and preaching.
Paul Coutinho will lead us in Ignatian Paul is an internationally recognized Ignatian scholar, author and speaker who brings an Eastern flavor to Western spirituality Paul is the author of several books, including How Big is Your God?, Just as You Are, and An Ignatian Pathway. Paul holds master’s degrees in both clinical psychology and religious studies, and he has a doctorate in historical theology from Saint Louis University, where he specialized in Ignatian spirituality and is now a visiting theology professor. He frequently leads retreats, gives spiritual direction, and trains people to lead the Spiritual Exercises.
