What part do our values and beliefs play in navigating these divisive times and what does the Church have to teach us in this arena? Join us via Zoom* as Sr. Rose Marie Tresp, RSM leads us in an exploration of how Catholic Social Teaching can help ground us in our life decisions and our civic engagement.

Our Presenter, Sister Rose Marie Tresp, RSM,
is a member of the Mercy Justice Team working with the Mercy presence in 17 mostly southern states since 2008. She has served as the director of ethics for hospitals, as well as in leadership for the Sisters of Mercy. She earned her bachelor's degree from Fontbonne College in St. Louis, her master's degree in religious studies from Boston College, and also studied ethics and philosophy at Georgetown University. Sister Rose Marie is active in social justice work at the local and national levels, following the teachings of the Catholic Church. As a member of the justice team, she has helped shape and carry out the Sisters of Mercy focus on immigration; the environment; women’s rights; non-violence; and fighting poverty, prejudice, and racism. Her work includes lobbying, giving talks and workshops, and engaging others in active involvement in social justice.
This program is offered free as a service to the community. Freewill donations are welcome to support the ongoing work of Mercy Conference and Retreat Center in St. Louis, MO.
